About Us

We started this because
nothing else quite covered it.

Ink & Icons is a music and celebrity magazine built by people who actually care about the stories behind the artists — not just the headlines.

Where Ink & Icons came from

It started with a conversation. We kept noticing that the artists we were listening to — the ones putting out genuinely interesting music, doing unexpected things with their image — were getting barely any coverage. The big outlets were focused on the same handful of names, and the smaller blogs felt scrappy and inconsistent.

So we decided to make something ourselves. Ink & Icons launched in early 2026 as a space for music and celebrity coverage that actually takes its subjects seriously. We write about artists who are doing something worth writing about, whether they have ten million followers or ten thousand.

"The best stories aren't always the loudest ones. Sometimes you have to look a bit harder to find them."

We chose the name because it felt right for what we were trying to do. Ink is about the written word — considered, permanent, worth keeping. Icons are the people who leave a mark on culture, not just the moment. That combination is what we're chasing with every piece we publish.

Music, celebrity, and the stuff in between

Most of what we publish falls into one of two areas. The first is music — new releases, album reviews, live shows, and the wider conversations happening around sound and culture right now. The second is the people making it: the artists, the figures, the ones shaping what this moment actually looks like.

We run full features, shorter pieces for when something needs saying quickly, and our Inkerviews series — long-form conversations with artists about their work, their process, and whatever else comes up. We try to keep those honest. No press release answers.

We're not trying to be everywhere at once. We'd rather publish fewer things and get them right than churn out content for the sake of it. If it's on the site, it's because we think it's worth your time.
